I’ve recently become much more aware of what I say, and I admit that sometimes, I would not want to be the one listening! The fact is we all complain sometimes, but lately, I’ve noticed people that complain constantly. Starting with a focus on one thing, and when that is resolved, the complaint is just moved onto the next item, topic or person. Most people can complain up to 30 times a day.
Question: I just read your last post “why would we rather stay stuck” and I have some further questions on this. The terror you spoke of is something that I am slowly unravelling in my life. I have always been challenged by anxiety, particularly social anxiety but it hasn’t been until this summer that I have realized the true extent of it.
I am literally living in fight or flight mode 90% of my life and am uncertain how to get out of it. I avoid social situations like the plague at times and at other times have very well choreographed superficial costumes that I put on in order to survive socially, and I do, some people would even question whether I truly have social anxiety or not.

Manifestation can be a tricky subject. It can sound like a hoax, rather new-agey and somewhat confusing. For example, why on earth do things show up in life that you really don’t want? And if you are ‘creating’ aspects of your life, why would you create something unwanted? Truth is, after much practice and research on the topic, I’ve learned there is quite a clear process to allowing the manifestation of what you want to show up in your life. Really, to get what you want is an inside job.
There is a lot of talk about wonder, joy, beauty and magic. These words and more importantly their experience are connected and intersect one another. The one thing they all have in common is that they can only be experienced when we are in the moment. Which any of us rarely are. Being present to the moment is in fact one of the most difficult things we can do.
Consider how you feel when you’ve had an amazing day. What if it was an amazing week, month or year? Our days are like blank canvases of 24 hours that we are responsible for creating. Strung together, they make up the quality of our lives.
Everything in the universe is energy. You are energy, so are your emotions, thoughts and words. These energies hold a vibration, which flow out into the world and constitute the field that surrounds you.
The universe has a plan, and an individual plan for you at that. When there is a situation that occurs over and over again in your life, the universe is trying to teach you something and until you learn that lesson… Read More
Q&A with Abdi Assadi – Does Negative Thinking Lead to Actual Negativity in Life?
There is so much talk about negative thinking. People, myself included, often say..”Stop thinking negatively”. Well, is it possible that with negative thinking and fearful thinking, we bring those negative and feared outcomes to life? Do we or can we open the door to bad outcomes, as we let those thoughts live and grow in our mind?

Lately, there has been a lot of gossip swirling around, and it seems to be affecting a lot of people I know. It got me to thinking, why do people gossip? What do they get from it? Why do we pass on the negative news, more so then the positive? And, how does this affect us energetically?

5 Lessons in Contentment from Warren Buffett & Charlie Munger
I sat in a crowd of 45,000 about 10 days ago, watching super-billionaire investors Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger riff off each other and deliver quick wit and worldly wisdom about finances and life in general, at the famous Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting in Omaha. As I listened to these titans of the investing world, it struck me how content they are. Here is what I learned from Warren and Charlie.
So you work long hours and are stressed out. It’s work you love, perhaps, but still hard work, and still lots of stressors. Maybe you get to take some good breaks during the day, maybe you take weekends off, maybe you get some great vacations.
But the fact remains: no matter what kind of breaks and vacations you take, much of your life is spent doing the hard work, and stressed out. You need to be able to simultaneously work and be on vacation. This is the practice of Zen Mind that we’re talking about — letting go and being able to breathe and smile in the middle of a stressful workday.
